I have had a lifelong love of photography and I use this to illustrate my passion for the remaining wild places on our earth. My enthusiasm for photography had increased steadily over many years with my mastery of the technical aspects of photography maturing over time.
I apply myself closely to the artistic elements of composition, light, colour and tone which are the essential components of any great image. It is a study that I find intensely rewarding.
As Ireland is my home, it is my primary focus. I have many images from Kilkenny, Wexford, Kerry and elsewhere. I also have many beautiful images from Scotland and Iceland. Please contact me if you don’t see an image from your favourite location. My portfolio is continuously growing, and your favourite haunt may well be my next destination.
I have been teaching digital photography in VTOS Kilkenny since 2010 at QQI Levels 5 and 6. During this period, we have held numerous exhibitions, published “The F Stops Here”- a photography book, a calendar depicting the stunning landscapes in County Kilkenny. I have had great success with my participants, many of whom have gone on to develop careers in photography.
